SUMMER PARADE

And this is how it all began, the beginning of my collage Art. How I decided to help people to not forget, but rather become unforgettable. Lets face it, we now live in a world where real mail is snail mail. And emails? Who has time to sort through them? Social media? Text me please so that we don’t have to have that uncomfortable pause in our conversation.

I wanted people to stop and laugh, be excited to receive something in the mail box other than junk mail. I started making collage invitations, clippings of myself, my spouse, and our beloved bird. The lush puzzled landscapes would be an eye inviting invitation to picnics at our home where we would gather curbside to watch a summer parade roll past our home. From there it just got more interesting. All original series “Summer Parade” works are 8 1/2”x12” clipped and pieced together with thought and love.
